Help us reach our goal of supporting 25,000 families this December!
For just $36, you can sponsor a family of 4. We will provide toys, Christmas trees, 75 lbs of food, and firewood.
Volunteer
- From December 17 & 18 and December 22 & 23, volunteers can sign-up for additional shifts in addition to our regularly scheduled opportunities.
If you are a large group, please email us: at volunteer@sowhatelse.org so we can get you scheduled on our group calendar.
Spread the Joy: Holiday Day of Giving
Date: December 20
Time: 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Volunteer in shifts!)
Join us for a festive day of giving back to families in need! Volunteers will help distribute toys, a hot meal, Christmas trees, 75 lbs of food, and firewood to brighten the holidays for our community.
Enjoy hot cocoa and coffee in the morning, and families with kids can participate in fun holiday art projects while volunteering together.
Special Highlights:
- 11:00 AM: Event Tour
- 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM: Q&A Session
- 12:00 PM: Lunch for Volunteers
- Best Dressed Holiday Outfit Award: Show off your festive style!

A Special Call to Local Restaurants
This year, we are extending a heartfelt invitation to restaurants across the region to partner with us by providing free soup for families in need during the event. Warm meals bring comfort, connection, and dignity, your support can directly touch hundreds of lives in a meaningful way.
Restaurants interested in partnering are encouraged to contact us at mjoe@sowhatelse.org to coordinate contributions.
Host a Drive
Help ensure every family in our community has what they need this holiday season! Consider hosting a food, clothing, or toy drive with your coworkers, family, friends, school, congregation, or any other group.
We are looking for donations of the following:
- Toys (for all ages)
- Shelf-stable food items
- Blankets
- Coats
- Hygiene items (such as deodorant, soap, feminine care products, toothpaste, etc.)
Donations can be dropped off Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm and Saturdays from 8:00am to 1:00pm at our Food Rescue Bank.
