Every year we offer summer programming for students who participate in our regular school year programming. In addition, we also open our doors to the general community at select locations. Here at So What Else we believe in making education accessible- financial circumstances shouldn’t deter families from having access to quality summer programming. We do our best to ensure our programs are accessible the communities we serve. If you have children between the ages of 5-18 please sign-up for our newsletter to stay up to dat eon our registration dates before spots fill up. We operate on a first come first served in select locations that are open to the general public.
To ensure our students continue to have access to a welcoming environment after the school year ends, So What Else provides free-of-cost, summer programming across Baltimore, Montgomery County, and Washington, DC.
So What Else summer camps are held at our after-school programming sites and a few additional locations for a duration 2 to 10 weeks, from June through August, depending on the location of the camp. Camps run Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm, and provide both healthy breakfasts and lunches to student participants.
In addition to our usual curriculum projects, students enjoy summer-specific enrichment activities including swimming lessons, outdoor STEM activities, community service projects, gardening, guest speakers, field trips, and more.
