Jamie Truman, founder of Truman Charities, a 100% volunteer-based organization, is launching her book, Vanishing Fathers, on March 1st, 2024. The book shares the stories of several individuals who have overcome early trauma to lead successful lives and become advocates for those in similar situations. Vanishing Fathers recognizes that without the guiding hand of a good man many children are more likely to fail academically and socially. All proceeds from the book will go towards So What Else youth programs.

About So What Else

So What Else's mission is to improve the lives of children and families living in underserved communities in the Baltimore-Washington Metro Area by providing food security, access to basic necessities, and high-quality out-of-school time programs in literacy, athletics, and the visual and performing arts while inspiring young people to give back to the community by creating volunteer opportunities for citizens of all ages.
