As a part of Food Waste Prevention Week in the DMV and to mark five years of the SWE food bank, join us for this special Open House event!

Volunteer, connect with one another, and celebrate the incredible community that makes our work possible.

Help us serve over 700 families in one day!

Event Agenda:
7am-3pm: All-day volunteering hours
9-10am: Welcome breakfast
10:30am: Gather for official event kickoff
10:45am: Speeches and presentation of Congressional certificate
11am-12pm: Food bank tour and Q&A
12-1pm: Lunch provided by Mamma Lucia

So What Else's mission is to improve the lives of children and families living in underserved communities in the Baltimore-Washington Metro Area by providing food security, access to basic necessities, and high-quality out-of-school time programs in literacy, athletics, and the visual and performing arts while inspiring young people to give back to the community by creating volunteer opportunities for citizens of all ages.
